I know I said to some people, that I won't be participating in the upcoming NASCAR race. Well...

That changed!

I blame it to Atobe's prowess and Kamio's persuasion (me wanting to be the top best speedstar in entire Japan had nothing to do with it, of course), but I'll be getting the car soon-ish. And then the only thing anyone will see of me, will be my vent, when I leave them in the dust! Mwuhahahahaaa~

Anyway.

I'm very excited! I get to beat Atobe, after all!

Forgive me? I couldn't resist. And don't worry about Mom and Dad, I'll explain it to them...once I do.

Look, I know you're upset. I get it, I screwed up. But in my defense, I didn't promise you anything. I just told you that I decided not to participate. And that decision changed, which is my prerogative to do so.

And to be completely honest, thinking about how you're angry won't prevent any accident. And I already told you, I don't plan on wrecking my car, I plan on winning. And, if it helps any, from a bunch of stuff that could happen, a burning car is the most improbable outcome.

So could you just stop being pissy and just...I don't know, wish me luck?

I'm not trying to fight, Kenya. It's just-- think about it from my perspective. You're volunteering for something incredibly dangerous. And not for some noble cause like firefighting, no. For thrills. So you can go fast. That's... do you understand how much that scares me? That you would risk your life for something like that? You are not replaceable.

It's not that dangerous...

The safety precautions are very high and Atobe is doing already everything humanly possible, so that my car is as safe as it can be.

And you know how it's with a good thrill - Once you get a taste of it, you can't let go. And I want to donate half of the prize money to the hospital. Though, I admit, it's not my first reason for doing it.

I...value that you think so highly of me. I promise I won't take big risks. But I can't live my life just according to others, thinking about how who will think what if I do this and that. I wouldn't be working in emergency, if I thought like that.

I appreciate your worry, but try not to worry too much, okay?
